Knowledge of and Required Skills

Special education law (IDEA)

Researched based instructional practices in the areas of reading, writing, math, social, emotional

Differentiation

Diverse populations of special needs students

 

Ability to:

Work evenings and weekends

Communicate effectively verbally and in writing

Maintain effective working relationships with others

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEAny combination of education and experience that demonstrates possession of the requisite knowledge and abilities is acceptable.

 

Master’s Degree in Education

Special Education teaching certificate

Minimum three years’ special education teaching experience

Arizona State Administrative Certificate
